    90 reis grey-black, early Intermediate Impression, the remarkable horizontal strip of five, 1st Composite Plate, State C, positions 14-18, showing the frame lines at right and at base, the left adhesive severed and re-joined, all cancelled by large part boxed CABO FRIO handstamps (Ayres 1248) in red-brown. Despite faults a dramatic and famous multiple.
