    90 reis black, Early Impression, the three examples rejoined by hinges as originally mailed on the famous August 5, 1843 cover to Porto Alegre, the cover now lost but a photo enclosed with the lot, the stamps removed from the cover being offered here-all three 90 reis with four margins and cancelled by rimless CORREIO GERAL DA CORTE datestamps in black. Extraordinary and one of the earliest usages of the 90 reis.
