    1929 (Oct. 25): 'City of Alexandria' and 'City of Athens' double Crash at Mersa Matruh, Egypt, recovered envelope addressed to India, franking and air mail label have been washed off, showing machine cancellation "HERNE BAY KENT 3.15 PM 25 OCT 29" and  backstamped "CALCUTTA G.P.O.DELY. 7 NOV. 29" on reverse.
