    1864 (July 22): Cover from Hartlepool to Copenhagen franked by superb 1862/64 9 d. straw, tied by bold "Hartlepool / 947" duplex in black. Red circular "PD" below and reverse with London cds, Hamburg Statdtpost datestamps (the Danish P.O. in Hamburg was closed due to the 2nd Schleswig Holstein War) and Copenhagen arrival cds (July 26).Manuscrip on front "4½" silvergroschen (credit to German Postal Union) and "2" silvergroschen credit to Denmark.
