    1859 (May 4): Printed Prices Current to Nakskov, Denmark franked on despatch with both Great Britain 1 d. red star tied by Edinburgh "131" duplex in black in combination with Denmark 1858 4 sk. yellow-brown tied by "2" circular numeral cancellation of Danish P.O. in Hamburg in black. Reverse with London transit in red and Danish P.O. in Hamburg cds (May 7) in black. The cover was marked with "2" (skilling) in manuscript for Postage Due from the recipient. An oustanding and rare entire with just three recorded similar frankings. Cert. S. Kaiser (1984), Moller (2007).
    Note: The Direct Packet to Altona / Hamburg was withdrawn on November 30, 1853. Mixed Frankings were still permitted because they did not transit any other countries and the bilateral agreement between Great Britain and Denmark was still in effect.
