    1 d. greyish-black, plate 11, JF, clear to very large margins all round, tied by an exceptional clear strike of a black Maltese Cross to letter-sheet, "FARNHAM JY 29 1841"  temporary (shifting) datestamp alongside, to Southampton with "SOUTHAMPTON JY 30 1841" c.d.s. on reverse for arrival. A most attractive 1d. black plate 11 used on cover and a very unusual combination of a 1d. black plate 11 with the special FARNHAM datestamp of which the Karl Louis Card Index records only one further plate 11 cover. RPSL cert. (2002). Gi = GBP 16'000.
