    1840: Mulready 1d letter-sheet, stereo A66, cancelled with a neat red Maltese Cross, "Aycliffe / Penny Post" handstamps on front and reverse, fone strike  "DARLINGTON MY 13 1840" c.d.s. (May-date!) , address panel crossed out and few perimeter faults, otherwise in a good state of preservation,  Gi = GBP 1'200.
