    1869: 25 bani blue & orange, two fine large margined examples (both Transfer Type 2, one with dot in outer frame at lower right) used on attractive registered cover to Berlin, each tied by "Galati" datestamps (Sept 10) in black (Kiriac fig. 394) with bold strike of rare RECOMMANDÉE / GALATZ handstamp in black above. Framed P.D. and chamfered "Recomandirt" at right, reverse with "Kgl. Preussisches / Eisenb. Postbureau / Roderau-Berlin" transit (15/9) and Berlin arrival (16/9) datestamp. A few minor edge imperfections but a charming and rare cover. Illustrated in Handbook II on page 241. Certificate Heimbüchler (2012).
