    1868: 2 bani orange (7 examples including two horizontal pairs) and 18 b. red (2) all used on 1870 cover, addressee's name erased, to Genova, Italy at correct 50 bani rate, the adhesives all with clear margins although one or two are creased by central file fold as is to be expected with such a large franking, tied by BRAILA / DIM datestamps (Kiriac fig. 439) in black. Oval sender's cachet with manuscript "franco" inserted on front and reverse with Vienna transit (28/2), Udine-Verona TPO cds (2/3) and Venice arrival datestamp. A colourful and extremely rare franking. Illustrated in Handbook II on page 211 and Edition D'Or vol XII on page 145. Certificate Heimbüchler (2010).
