    VALOR 30 CENTAVOS surcharged in violet on 50 c. pale green, used example on 1921 cover from Cartagena to Bogotá, showing variety "V" from "Valor" omitted and surcharge struck inverted,cancelled by oval SOCIEDAD COLOMBO-ALEMANA / CARTAGENA cachet in black and by Bogota arrival cancelling Colombia 1920 3 c. green in red (Dec 10). Cover with closed tear in face panel but a unique usage of this rare variety on letter.
