    5 c. blue, lower marginal example and 20 c. bright blue, First Stone, used on April 24, 1860 entire letter from Cali to New York endorsed "via Cartagena", tied by oval CALI handstamp in black, apparently slightly inked in, and by circular transit "Administracion De Correos De Colon / Franca" handstamp in red. Oval framed "Forwarded By / C. J. Fox / Aspinwall" in red at right from where the letter was carried to New York (June 27 docketing inside) as an enclosure. The 20 c. adhesive crossed by file fold but a remarkable and very colourful first issue entire, exceptionally so to an overseas destination. Cert. Moorhouse (2012).
    Note: The postage was only paid as far as the Forwarding Agent in Aspinwall, 25 centavos for a single letter at a distance up to 1350 kms.
