1819 (Sept 9): Entire letter from Lima to Cadiz, sent by ship to Panamá and thence across the isthmus and mailed with superb strike of PANAMÁ in red (Tizon 2 = RR), thence on to Cadiz (normally the route was via Cuba at this date). Handstruck "10 R." charge marking applied on arrival in Spain in red.
