1802 (April 12): Entire letter written from Mamascato mailed in Mercaderes to Popayan, distance 30 leagues / 160 kms., struck with superb impression of the MERCADERES handstamp in black (Tizon 1 = RRR) with small DEBE handstamp below (Tizon 2 = RRR). Rated "1½" reales for a single letter under ½ ounce to pay on arrival. A fine and very rare entire.
