1804c.: Cover from Honda to Santa Fé de Bogotá, distance 24 leagues / 134 kms., with good strikes of the scarce ONDA handstamp (Tizon 2 = RR) and, below, FRANCA (Tizon 5 = RR) both in red. Rate 1½ reales prepaid for a single letter up to ½ ounce. Whilst undated, the cover is addressed to Camilo Torres whilst a lawyer for the State, as he started to fight for Independence in 1809 or 1810, the cover must have been mailed prior to this date. Scarce and appealing cover.
