    1780 (May 26): Entire letter from Cartagena to Quito via Popayan, distance of 463 leagues, 2'580 km., struck with very fine contracted CARTAGN handstamp in red (Tizon 1 = RRR) and straight line FRANCA also in red (Tizon 5 = RR) below. Manuscript rated "6" reales in ink for a letter weighing up to 1 ounce. Rare and very fine entire.
