    1 real in an unusual yellow green shade, used on 1865 turned cover (originally used with early impression ½ real from Chimbo to Ambato), cancelled by hexagonal framed AMBATO handstamp struck in red and mailed to Chimbo paying the rate for 1¼ ounces. Small pinpricks in the adhesive but an exceedingly rare usage of this cancellation in this colour.
    Note: The framed "Ambato" handstamp is only recorded in use for the first eight months of 1865.
