90 reis grey, Worn Impression, the superb horizontal used pair from the upper left corner of the pane, Second Composoite plate, State D, positions 1-2, showing the full marginal lines vertically and horizontally, with "Semi-Xifopagus" dividing line to the 60 reis pane 4.5 mm. above and part of adjoining stamp below position 2; applied to reverse of cleaned July 1844 entire letter at triple rate from Rio de Janeiro to Porto Alegre tied by bold CORREIO GERAL DA CORTE datestamp (July 3) in black. The stamps have been lifted for checking, cleaned and replaced (which has to be deemed normal for Brazilian classic covers) and opens for display well. An extremely rare entire.
