30 reis grey-black, Early Intermediate Impression, Third Composite plate, positions 16-17 on the middle pane, a marvellously attractive horizontal pair superbly cancelled by two strikes of circular PARAHIBA DO SUL handstamps (Ayres 1583) in red-brown. Slightest thin and ironed crease where presumably attached to the back of a cover. A delightful and scarce multiple.
