    1869: 15 c. brown & blue, Type II, two fine examples used on cover to Berlin, Prussia endorsed "Via England, Closed Mail", tied by black cork cancels with "Greencastle/Pa" cds at lower left (Dec 23) in black of despatch. Red "New York / Paid All" transit at right and front also struck with "Verviers / Coeln / Franco" TPO (Jan 3) in red. Envelope with slight trim at right but a very fine and rare franking, listed in the Rose / Searing 1869 Census.
