    1853/60: 20 c. deep blue and a horizontal strip of three 80 c. carmine all used on 1856 cover endorsed "Africa via Liverpool" to New York, tied by "K" in lozenge of dots with Paris despatch cds (Oct 30) at left. "N. York Br. Pkt. /5" charge mark of arrival (Nov 13) below in black. The strip just touched but a fresh and attractive cover.
