    1861/66: Lincoln 15 c. black, fine example cancelled by cork cancel used on cover to France, originally accepted as paid (red "New York/6" credit datestamp), overstruck with "New York/18" debit datestamp in black. Straight line INSUFFICIENTLY PAID in black and charged '16' decimes due on reciept. Unusual and appealing short paid cover.
