    1916 (Nov 7): Cover sent registered from Jerusalem to Berne/Switzerland, franked by 1916 20 pa. red (3) on reverse and single 1 pi. ultramarine on front tied by octagonal "JERUSALEM 2" datestamps in black. Framed "Censored By / Military Authorities" in red and framed "REGISTRATION / CANCELLED" in red alongside. "Beyrouth-7" transit cds (Nov 12) on reverse. Released post-War and mailed on via Istanbul to Berne with arrival cds on reverse (June 3, 1919). A most unusual cover.
