    1893: Two complete hard bound volumes given as gifts to Bankers involved with the "Dette Publique" crisis in Turkey by the Sultan, with gloriously beautiful coloured inscriptions surrounding Imperforate proofs of Fiscal Issues from 1875/76 to 1889 with the different issues separated by frontispieces of exceptional calligraphy, Volume I with 241 Proofs and Volume II with "Droit Proportionnel" inscription and a total of 40 pages showing the stamps of the issue printed on to individual pages in various colours and "Droit Fixe" issue similarly shown on 6 pages and Imperforate Proofs on a further 14 pages. A truly delightful pair in outstanding and fresh condition of an exceptional degree of rarity.
