    1930 (May 11): First Successful Crossing of the South Atlantic by Jean Mermoz - Two special printed CGA envelopes from "Paris May 10 1930", one franked with 10f and 50c tied by 'Paris Gare Austerlitz' meter mark to Buenos Aires (May 14) and signed by Mermoz, other franked with 5f and 2f (2) to Pernambuco (May 13) signed by Jean Dabry, both envelopes with special cachet "PREMIER TRAVERSÉE COMMERCIALE / DE L'ATLANTIQUE-SUD / PAR UN HYDRAVION DE L'AÉROPOSTALE" in violet. A fine pair.
