    1847: 10 c. black on blued paper, a used example with good to large margins on three sides and shaved along intact outer frame line at left, used on 1850 cover to Quebec, Canada East, tied by red grill with "NEW YORK" despatch cds at right (Sept 17). "MONTREAL" transit cds in red (Sept 19) and"4½" in ink manuscript charge. Quebec arrival in red on reverse of a fine and scarce cover. Signed Holcombe Scott = $ 1'900.
