1880 (April 1): Bantam ½ d. rose, plate 15, a horizontal pair and a horizontal strip of three, used on 1881 cover marked "Private" in manuscript from Larnaca to Peter Rylands MP in London, tied by five strikes of the "942" numeral obliterator in black. "LARNACA / CYPRUS" cds of despatch below (Feb 8) and Loindon arrival cds (Feb 21) on reverse.
