    New Zealand occupation, Stamps of German Samoa surcharged, unofficial issues 1914 (Sept): 5 d. on 40 pf. black & carmine, showing variety "3 d. instead of 5 d." (Gibbs 7A) and "comma after I", a used example of excellent colour and perfect perforation, cancelled by indistinct APIA cds. An extremely rare adhesive, a unique variety combination.
