    1867 (Oct 3): 9 d. pale straw, Plate 4, wmk. Spray, lettered RA, an unused example, variety "Imperforate", with large margins all round, fresh and very fine colour, large part og. A delightful example of an extremely rare stamp, just 8 examples recorded by Galland & Louis in 'Surface Printed Stamps', including one in the National Postal Museum and another in the collection of His Majesty King Charles III - the adjoining stamp to this, lettered RB.
