    1932: White Star Line envelope sent fropm Pitcairn to Sydney struck with "From Pitcairn Is. / no postal facilities" handstamp in violet, with "Loose Ship Letter / Sydney" cds adjacent (Sept 30) in black. Struck on arrioval with framed "TAX / 2D. / No. 1 SYDNEY" handstamp in red. Manuscript cancelled Australia Postage Due 2 d. scarlet & pale yellow-green applied and tied in manuscript. Reverse with 'Five Dock / NSW' cds (Oct 10) of arrival. A very rare cover and believed to be a unique usage of the Pitcairn handstamp.
