    Postal Stationery 1891: De La Rue Essay for the postal stationery registration envelope, a circular embossed Die reading "Tasmania / Registered", hand-painted in shades of blue and pale green, picked out in Chinese white on brown tracing paper (57 x 67 mm.). Handstamped date "27 AUG 91" at top and "Approved by Agent General 27 Aug 91" in red crayon manuscript. Some edge wear but an exceptional and very rare Essay.
