    1902/03: Arms 1 d. carmine on chalk surfaced paper, Die II, second wmk. Crown over NSW, perf. 11 all round - a used horizontal pair showing this rare perforation variety, cancelled by Sydney duplex (Aug 1, 1904) in black. Horizontal crease not detracting from the fine appearance of this rarity - just one further example of this stamp is recorded, housed in the Mitchell Library in Sydney. Unique at the time of writing.
