    1844 (Oct 24): Entire letter prepaid at single rate from Bendimine to Edinburgh struck with fine octagonal framed "YASS / POST PAID" in red and oval "YASS / ♚ / OC 31 / 1844 / NEW. S. WALES" in black on reverse. Oval transit "PAID SHIP LETTER / ♚ / NO 2 / 1844 / SYDNEY" in red with rate '1/2d.' in red manuscript adjacent. Reverse with London transit and Edinburgh arrival cds (March 28, 1845) in red. A fresh and very fine entire.
