    1838 (July 6): Entire letter from Yass written by the Explorer, Charles Sturt to Chas. Cowper, Kirkham, Cow Pastures; struck with circular "YASS / POST OFFICE / NSW" in black upon despatch, sent unpoaid with manuscript '10d.' rate at top for a distance between 120 and 170 miles. Reverse with blurred Campbell Town transit in black. A fine entire.rnrnProvenance: Collection E.R.
