    1850: 3 d. yellow-green on soft yellowish wove paper, a used example with good margins all round, used on 1851 registered cover from Sydney to Manila, Phillipines endorsed "Per Rio Packet Registered"; boldly tied by Sydney obliterator in black with two line "Registered / Sydney." in red alongside. Handstruck "1" (real) due marking at right and reverse with superb circular "SYDNEY / ♚ / NEW SOUTH WALES" datestamp in black (Nov 17) and "MANILA / ISLs FILIPs." arrival cds (10 Jan 1852) in blue. Palmer cover census #282. The 3 d. paying the Ship rate - the registration fee was paid in cash. Slight closed tear in front panel not affecting the appearance of a very rare cover with just six Sydney View registered covers recorded, just three with the registration charge paid in cash.
