    1850: 1 d. carmine-lake on soft yellowish wove paper, plate 1, position 23, unused, without gum, four mostly good to large margins, an early impression with pleasing deep colour, a couple small thins, not detracting from this otherwise exceptional stamp, with even many of the renowned New South Wales collections of the past missing an unused example; a classic rarity.
