    1836 (Nov): Official cover to the Colonial Secretary (Alexander McLeay) in Sydney headed "OHMS" at top, struck with framed "FREE" and framed "HASSANS WALLS / N.S.W. / POST OFFICE" despatch handstamps in brown, with "♚ / GENERAL POST OFFICE / SYDNEY" arrival in black at left (Nov 2). The lot is accompanied by photographs of the gravestone of Michael Keenan, the Postmaster at Hassan Walls (although a Mr. Dalway was Postmaster when this cover was sent, Keenan being the previous incumbent) and a brief history of this elusive Office.
