    Incoming Mail 1847/54: Great Britain Embossed 1 s. green in a cut round horizontal pair (Gi. 54) used on 1855 entire letter tied by Manchester / 498 sideways duplexes (May 17) in black. Condition poor with repair at top of entire but a fascinating letter concerning steam engines: "our opinion as to the practibility of working very heavy gradients. We have have directed our attentions since to the construction of an engine which we think will accomplish all that you require and render the question of Railway communication no longer doubtful on the score of practibility, the drawing which we now enclose you will perceive to be a Tank Engine with four wheels coupled...".
