Incoming Mail 1847/54: Great Britain Embossed 1 s. green in a cut round horizontal pair (Gi. 54) used on 1855 entire letter tied by Manchester / 498 sideways duplexes (May 17) in black. Condition poor with repair at top of entire but a fascinating letter concerning steam engines: "our opinion as to the practibility of working very heavy gradients.
