    Verticais 18560: 60 r. black, a vertical pair with large margins all round, used on 1864 cover to Nancy, France endorsed "Per Steamer voie d'Angleterre", tied by "CORREIO DE SANTOS" circular datestamps (Aug 4) struck in blue, Rio transit in black adjacent. Oval framed "INSUFFICIENTE" applied in red as only the internal Brazilian Maritime rate to Rio was prepaid. Circular "Bresil / Calais" entry marking (Sept 3) in red and thence readdressed with handstruck "8" décimes due to pay. Faults to the letter-sheet but a scarce usage. Signed E. Diena. Cert.
