    Verticais 1850: 30 r. black, a single example overlapping a 90 r. black block of six (3 x 2) with touched to fine margins all round and touched by file fold, used on 1869 triple rate cover from Rio de Janeiro to Buenos Ayres, Argentina endorsed "por Gironde" at top, all tied by segmented cork cancellations in black. Rio despatch cds alongside (Nov 16) and framed "P.P." in red above. Charged '5' pesos due on receipt in blue crayon. Minor creasing but a remarkable and very rare cover - the largest 90 reis multiple on letter.rnProvenance: Corinphila sale 220, Nov 2017, lot 3582.
