    Overprinted "British / Bechuanaland" in green by P. Townshend in Vryburg 1888 (Dec 27): Cape ½ d. grey-black, wmk. Anchor, perf. 14, an unused vertical pair overprinted in green, variety "Overprint Double, One Vertical, se-tenant with Lower Stamp without Overprint", the vertical overprint misplaced resulting in "British" being omitted on the upper stamp, fresh and very fine but the lower stamp with one tiny thin spot, large part og. Just six examples possible, one of which is housed in the collection of His Majesty King Charles III.
