Crown CA, overprinted "British / Bechuanaland", variety "Overprint Double", first in lake and then again in black, fresh and fine appearance, one light tone spot on one perforation on reverse, large part og. A very scarce stamp Gi = £ 750.rnrnNote: This variety was first recorded in "The Philatelic Record" of February 1887. H.R. Holmes states, on page 41 of "Bechuanaland Stamps" that this variety was a probably a Trial for the eventual issued overprint.
