    Stamps of German New Guinea surcharged 1914 (16 Dec): GRI and Value 5 mm. apart, Setting 11, position 1, 4 d. on 40 pf. black & carmine, Setting 11, position 1, an unused example with the varieties "1 d. instead of 4 d." and "I for 1" (Gibbs 24gb) of excellent colour and superb perforation, unused with part original gum. Following Gibbs, this is the unique example showing this variety combination. Certs. Kilian BPP (1984), Scheller (2018) Gi = £ 10'000 for Gi 24i.
