Stamps of German New Guinea surcharged 1914 (16 Dec): GRI and Value 5 mm. apart, 2 d. on 20 pf. ultramarine, Setting 11, a used example with the erroneous '1 d. on 20 pf.' surcharge, fresh and very fine with slightest trace of cancellation, of excellent colour and superb perforation. A wonderful example this extremely rare variety, Gibbs conjectures, page 79 the existence of up to 15 examples, however this high number is not borne out by offered genuine examples. Cert.
