1883 (Sept 27): De La Rue Appendix page for the "Exisiting and proposed Schemes of Colours" with imperforate 1 d. lake at top annotated "Colour established by the International Postal Conventrion for this duty", and perforated Colour Trials of the 6 d. value in orange-yellow (2d.); violet-brown (3d.); imperforate 4 d. carmine opposite brown (4 d.); rough perf. 14-16 6 d. blue opposite grey (6 d.); and bronze-green (1 s.), 5 s. value at base with comment "This colour could not well be improved upon".
