1876: 1 s. deep green, wmk. Crown CC, perf. 14½ x 12½, type C, a used horizontal strip of three in combination with 4 d. carmine, perf. 14, type B, used on 1880 registered cover to Cheltenham tied by sunburst obliterators in black. "ST. HELENA" despatch cds at left (Sept 13) and oval "Registered / St. Helena" in red. Reverse with Bristol cds (Sept 30) and Cheltenham same day arrival cds.
