    Airmail 1919 (July 7): First Military Flight cover from Constantinople to Paris franked by France Sower 25 c. blue and Merson 1 fr. lake & green tied by framed handstamp "ARMÉES ALLIÉS EN ORIENT / POSTE AÉRIÈNNE" struck in black with "Tresor et Postes / 506" cds adjacent (July 7). Reseal Censor tape and further strike of oval "Contrôle / Par l'Authorité Militaire" on reverse with Paris arrival (July 14). The first date for carriage of civilian mail by this service. Slight opening tear at base but rare. Ex collection Sassower. Cert. Behr (2007).
