    1874: Official illustrated envelope with Mexican Eagle and "Secretaria de Hacienda / Republica de Mexicana" inscription used from Mexico City to Antwerp, Belgium, rated "2/2d." in manuscript in London (March 30) and struck with framed "UNPAID" in black (Van der Linden fig. 2886b) and manuscript "30c." due on arrival (same day). A scarce overseas usage of Official mail at this date. Ex the Brian Moorhouse estate.
