    1828/59: The pre-stamp collection of entire letters and covers (28) with 1833 cover to Popayan with oval "REPUB. COLOMBIA / CARTAGA / DEBE" in red and rated "4"; 1835c. similar cover from Bogotá to Guayaquil, 1839 cover with "CARTAGENA / DE OFICIO" in red, 1843 entire prepaid to Panama with oval "CARTAGENA / FRANCA" and "8" rate mark in red, 1849 cover to Bordeaux with oval "BOGOTÁ / FRANCA" in blue and similar cover to London, 1856 entire to New York with oval "LA MESA / FRANCA" in blue, and July 1859 prepaid front from Santa Marta rated "25" to Medellin with framed arrival, all in blue.
