    Stamp Shortage 1867/85c.: The collection of covers (20) all sent stampless during the pre-War and post-Pacific War period when stamps were unavailablke at many Post Offices with 1867 entire from Cobija to Pisagua with framed "FRANCA", 1873 entire with oval "10 cs. / COCHABA" handstamp and a fancy example from COLQUECHACA, 1878 cover with '10' handstamp and Potosi cds to Sucre, 1880 entire showing oval "POTOSI / FRANCA", 1882 entire with oval "FRANCA / HUANCHACA" in red, cover with framed "FRANCA / CARACOLES" etc. Viewing recommended, a fine collection.
